  • November 26: In a bold break from tradition, AEW moves its annual Thanksgiving Eve Dynamite from Chicago to Nashville’s brand-new venue, The Pinnacle. This night will feature back-to-back tapings of both Dynamite and Collision.

A Tradition Interrupted

The Thanksgiving Eve show has been associated with Chicago since its inception, except in the pandemic year of 2020. This is no trifling migration to Nashville. The Pinnacle, opening in February 2025, will accommodate around 4,500 fans and provide a new, small-scale atmosphere to the flagship programs of AEW.

Why This Matters

These newly scheduled dates are more than venue announcements:

  • Boston’s return reaffirms AEW’s commitment to key historic markets. Having hosted April’s Spring BreakThru special at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway, the city’s inclusion continues the momentum of strong fan engagement in New England.

  • Nashville’s leap shows AEW exploring dynamic, growth-oriented venues. The Pinnacle’s mixed-use campus and modern design signal AEW’s blend of tradition with innovation.
  • Timing is everything: Boston provides a thematic build-up to Full Gear, while Nashville’s Thanksgiving Eve slot ensures fans get a festively charged wrestling experience to close out the week.
  • Champion presence: AEW’s promotional material heavily features top stars like Women’s Champion Toni Storm, World Champion “Hangman” Page, Tag Team Titans Bandido & Brody King, and rising standout Kris Statlander, indicating major match narratives will unfold across these nights.

A Human-Centered Look Behind the Headlines

The excitement would be how wrestlers enter the boisterous Bostonian crowd, amps blaring, plots culminating, and then Detroit Sports Reporters recounting it all. And then a few seconds, then a repeat in Nashville, in a more upscale establishment, with fans packed in a more intimate environment, not simply a commutative, but a tone change.

AEW is not only planning logistics. It is generating memory streets, one book per city, linked together by story, vitality, and desire. It is not a matter of having a path, but rather creating the journey.
